My Bio

After terminating my job w/ the federal government in the security field, I thought about getting a fun part-time job in real estate to eventually prepare for retirement.  I had dabbled in leasing commercial properties while a civil servant so I spoke to a few sales professionals who took me under their wing, gave me pointers and allowed me to "shadow" while they did listings, contracts, negotiations, etc. I was provided w/ handouts, books, and other information about the profession and I just sort of "took off" from there.  I soon found out that I couldn’t commit to serving clients part time; it wasn't fair to them or me.  I did some research and decided that if I was to succeed, I’d have to put 100% into it although it meant not having a steady stream of money coming in the door (in other words, being poor for the first few years as the business developed a client list). I feel that you cannot make a go of real estate unless you give it your full undivided attention. I pretty much gave up everything else to put 100% into my new job, full time – marketing, sales, accounting, and client servicing.

I also did freelance work to get used to dealing with decor, sales, and staging professionally.  After interviewing a few companies, I had the wonderful opportunity to work for Long and Foster for a year.  That was the push to start my own business. I purchased the books and materials, paid my tuition and started working with a terrific client and haven't looked back since.

Today, I am committed to keeping pace with change and staying ahead of the crowd with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.  I also bring back unique and distinct items for staging and re-decorating clients' homes.  Traveling the globe is my second passion; it makes me feel good to know we’re everywhere and anywhere people want to be. My business, like most, is challenging and continually changing. The strength of our company, as symbolized by the dog in our logo, is that we are in perpetual motion. We are always challenging ourselves to find better resources and in turn better means of guaranteeing our clients’ dreams.
